Performance and development reviews are a standard part of working life for employees in most industries. Regular ministry reviews aim to assist clergy and stipendiary lay ministers to:

• reflect on their current ministry and practice

• receive helpful feedback and guidance so that they can effectively meet the needs of those they minister to

• set development goals

• have deeper levels of engagement in their role and with the diocese.

For parishes and diocesan leadership, reviews provide a mechanism for ministry accountability, as well as meet the recommendations from The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
